i need to override a view page with a panel page.. is that possible?? for eg.. when a user clicks on the 'more' link on a view block instead of going to the view page he should go to the overridden panel page. I tried doing this by specifying the url for the panel page to be the url for the view page i wanted to override... but this didnt work.. is there any way to do this???

Try removing the path from the URL field in the View.

That is what should work, at least in panels 3. Panels 3 has significant changes from Panels 2. No features will be added to Panels 2.
