I've been at this for an eternity and I just can't solve it. I've never had any luck posting in these forums, never get responses... but here goes *crossing fingers*

How can I disable the listing of files in Drupal generated RSS feeds?

Currently my RSS feeds include 'Meda files' listings which include a link to the enclosed files at http://mysite.com/files which of course is totally useless as it just directs the user to my site if clicked. If a FLV file is included in the node then that file is pointed to in which case the user would download the flv file rather than being directed to my site.

This is driving me nuts. I have had to disable my RSS feeds completely due to Drupal forcing these links in the feeds. I do not want ANY file attachments listed in the RSS feeds.

I have installed the 'remove upload enclosures' module, which has absolutely no effect. It hasn't been updated in over a year so I assume it no longer functions with current Drupal releases.

Can anyone help?

Hi David,

I see you stumbled across the "Remove Upload Enclosures" module and were having difficulty with it. Please see my response to your issue posted at http://drupal.org/node/297647#comment-982534.
