GMAP - Selective location information still displays marker [#298479]

Is there a way to only enter a city and country, or just a country and have a marker display in the specified location (in the case of just country, just smack dab in the center of the country or the general area) without having to specify a street address and such?

Is it a matter of enabling the geocoding within the location module or has this support been depreciated?

I think I now have the geocoding retrieving coordinates for just: Seattle, Washington, USA (without street address) but it still cannot retrieve coordinates for say...just Beijing, China or Tokyo, Japan
