Hi,
Whatever I put inside in "Index name for queries" I always get "Search failed: unknown local index 'my_index_name' in search request". I have tried with "main0", "index_my_name_main0", "my_name", "distibuted"... I always see "unknown local index"...
Indexes are createted correctly on the server, search by from shell comannd line works also. But there is no link between Drupal interface and server daemon.
Yes, I have copied sphinx.conf with xmlpipe configuration to sphinx localization on the server.
What's wrong?
Thanks for your work :]
Szy.

markus_petrux commentedHi szy,
Thanks for your interest in this module. :-)
Does the other issue you have opened mean you have resolved this problem? Are you running Sphinx on a separate box?
szy commented:), it works!
The problem was the commented line in sphinx.conf with IP address of Sphinx installation. Leaving 127.0.0.1 IP uncommented made module works nice.

markus_petrux commentedSweet!
I think I'll include something in the admin panel to diagnose connection issues and provide a first level of assistance.
markus_petrux commentedPlease, checkout BETA1. It comes with a new check connection page, next to the admin settings panel. It checks searchd daemon connection, search query and excerpts builder. It shows status information for each check, ok or not, error and warning messages, etc.
I hope that will help a bit with this kind of issues.

szy commentedOK - Test passed successfully. Sphinx results summary follow:
Query execution time: 0.008 seconds
Total results found: 22342
Total results available: 1000
Last indexed node: 105669 (2008-08-23 10:55:39)
Great thing, thx.
