Important usability feature (I think).

Hi there,

First of all I want to thank to every one who makes this module such a great!!

I think there is one feature that it´s important for the usability and I can't find the way to make available without implementing it in the core.

How we can "disable" fields (not editable) in edit mode and only allow editing in creation time?
