When we try to use the link button to create a link to a file, such as a pdf, via the "Browse Server" button and IMCE, the path defaults to http://File/somepdf.pdf rather than /File/somepdf.pdf, or http://mywebsite.com/File/somepdf.pdf

Is there a way to change this behavior?

What are your IMCE settings?

It's set to use a shared folder - "/" (the root filesystem folder)

be sure to set protocol to "<other>" (or something similar)

There is no way to either default to "other" or to have the full url path name set automatically?

Not that I know of at the moment. Could be looked into, but it seems difficult.

Which version of IMCE and FCKeditor are you using?
I tried to reproduce it on imce-5.x-1.2 and FCKeditor 2.6.3, but the protocol is changed automatically to "other".

Update - the problem seems to occur only in IE6 and IE7. Firefox works fine.

I mean FCKeditor (the editor) version, which can be downloaded here: http://www.fckeditor.net/download
Try the 2.6.3, clear browser's cache before testing.
