This means that you'll be
This means that you'll be able to buy support for Drupal from Acquia.
A good thing for Drupal
This is a very good thing for Drupal, just as the emergence of supported commercial distributions of Linux -- such as RedHat -- was a good thing for the operating system. The Drupal core is very solid, but for most reasonably elaborate websites, you're dipping into the universe of contributed modules. It takes time and money to keep track of the contributed modules. It takes time and money to keep track of updates and make sure the updates don't conflict with one another. A supported distribution doesn't just provide experts you can call when you have a problem. It makes sure everything works together, smoothly.
Themes in Carbon
We (TopNotchThemes) have also just announced that we'll be providing themes bundled with Acquia's distribution.
Exciting times :) They're doing a lot of wonderful things to take Drupal to the next level, but Carbon is still GPLd and these benefits will be available not just to those paying for support...
{ TopNotchThemes } Gorgeous 100% original Drupal themes with Views/Panels 2 support, plus Ubercart themes!
