Isn't path specification already a feature in the latest Filefield module which can be specified under Content Management field settings?

Maybe I need to rewrite the features of the module, but it does clearly state the following: "Configurable upload paths now use node tokens.".
The important thing to see here is "node tokens".

FileField allows users to specify a path using user tokens, which in my personal opinion doesn't allow for enough customization of the paths.
