We are starting a company that will sell very similar Drupal sites to many similar clients. These clients have money and development costs will be guaranteed upfront.
All sites developed must include podcasting (just audio for now), forums, and two types of non-administrator memberships (permissions).
We will also most likely be dealing with Hostgator as we have built up a good relationship with them on other similar projects.
We would like sites to be based on a versatile, multi block theme like Amity Island and as few modules as possible. These sites will be around for a long time and will need to be updated as Drupal grows (your job).
Sites will not be exhaustive social networking sites, but it is important that members are able to have profiles and are somewhat able to interact with each other.
Once a good design is established, we will basically offer the same site in a few variations as packages. Vocabulary will change, but essential functions of the vocabulary will be the same on each site.
The developer will not need to do much regular maintenance, but must be able to fix problems as they arise.
We expect all sites to be so similar that no surprises should come up if the base site is built well. Clients will not be making customization requests so the developer doesn't need to worry about making the site do things that it wasn't initially designed to do. These sites will be built to function. They should be attractive, but the design element comes second.
We are in the secondary stages of getting this business off the ground. We have clients lined up, but it will still be a month or two before we are ready to take the project live. We need a Drupal guy lined up as the project may take off quickly.
Developer must have experience developing sites similar to those described above and provide links.
