When I upload an image with imagefield my thumbnail will have the permission 644 but my orginial will have the permission. With permission 600 the image will not show in the node view. So I have to manually change the permission on every imageupload.

Is there a fix to this problem?

I'm closing as ImageField has undergone massive changes since alpha2. Please upgrade to the latest version. If this problem is still occuring, please reopen and I'll have another look.
