Is it possible to create a views block that allows users to search within that views criteria (filters, etc...)? Something similar to the "Search downloads" block on d.o.

If so what are the needed steps to do it, I have fiddled with it but can't seem to get it right (if even possible).

Views in -dev can now do this with a new option. It will be available in -rc4.
