Hello,

I am trying to update the Drupal 5.10 site to 6.4.

- all the SQL/files are backed up, the following actions are made first on site's replica
- logged in as user 1
- site switched to maintenance mode
- all the modules are disabled but the core modules
- Drupal 6.4 (or 6.0, see later) files are copied over the existing ones
- http://sitename/update.php is run

It returns

An error occurred. http://test.boyandin.ru/update.php?id=1&op=do
Fatal error: Call to undefined function taxonomy_get_vocabularies() in /home/temmokan/sub/test/modules/forum/forum.install on line 113

I tried to update to version 6.0 first. The same error, only the line number in the mentioned module differs.

How can one handle such situations? What I am doing wrong?

are you using clean urls? if so try turning them off....

Try disabling the taxonomy module.

The problem was solved by disabling all the modules but the modules included into Drupal 5 distribution.

i guess that's why they say to do that in upgrade instructions, lol. glad you got it working.

The upgrade instructions were not that clear, perhaps. Well, all's well that ends well.

I'm not trying to be adversarial, but i see this said alot. From the UPGRADE.txt file:

5.  Disable all custom and contributed modules.

What exactly is unclear about that?
