It would be so very cool if the weight adjustment were brought out the admin/build/menu page so they could be arrange without having to open each menu item individually.

many of us use large menus, so this feature would make menu management a nightmare..

I don't see this.. Implementing this means adding a small extra row to the menu settings pages. I am currently facing the other nightmare: having x items in a menu and manually having to adjust the weights to get the latest entry on top. How much easier that would be with such a feature.

i have no idea what are you talking about.. you can easily drag and drop the last menu to the top..
