This behavior is also seen in an ubercart installation with STORM on Drupal 5.10 (I have no idea if the problem predated STORM inclusion). The administrative warnings are excusable but not the excessive performance hit.

What sort of information might help mitigate or justify recursion?

the only one i am aware of is the taxonomy images

I'm also getting this error. My CCK content type has two imceimage fields and one text field. Here's the exact error message:

does this problem still occur with the current release of 6.x-0.16?

I just installed contemplate-6.x-0.16 and am getting the following error.
