Dear maintainers of the project!
I'm writing on behalf of the team from Lviv Polytechnic National University (Lviv, Ukraine). Our team includes professors, PhD students and students (IT specialists and computational linguists). We are working on the brand-new Ukrainian translation of the Drupal 6 core. You can see development snapshots on our website ( http://drupal.ridne.net ) as well as take part in the discussion.
As far as the Ukrainian translation is no longer being actively maintained, and there is a strong need for Ukrainian translation of the new versions of Drupal among developers, I ask you to pass us the right to maintain the project.
Looking forward to your reply!
Sincerely,
Oleksandr Berezko [ http://politeh.ridne.net/user/2 ]

apele commentedMy name is Andriy Peleschyshyn, I am the dean of Computer Science faculty of Lviv Polytechnic National University. I also own a number of Ukrainian thematic Drupal-based websites: "IT-Analytics" http://it.ridne.net; "Ukrainian Scientific Society" http://nauka-online.org; website of the Association of Information Technology Enterprises of Ukraine http://apitu.org.ua; one of the official websites of our university: http://nauka.lp.edu.ua etc.
I want to support the request of Oleksandr Berezko about the maintainership of the Ukrainian translation. One of the global tasks of our faculty is translation of open source software to Ukrainian and Drupal is on the top of our high-priority list.
