Hi,

I am trying to get the 'term' element from the feed and map it to taxonomy. Is there any way to do it? Thanks

You need Feed element mapper: http://drupal.org/project/feedapi_mapper
Just to know: Feed element mapper is currently not compatible with the dev version of FeedAPI, i'll notify the maintainer of the mapper to update that module too.
