Different first argument for different depth levels of taxonomy

Hi,

With the current implementation you can customize the calling path like anything/1/2/3

What I would like is to be able to set a different calling path, depending on the depth of the vocabulary,
taxonomy term depth 0: anything/1/2
taxonomy term depth 1: anything_else/1/2
taxonomy term depth 2: anything_elseagain/1/2

I ask this because I am looking for a possibility for a hierarchical website with more than one "template" depending on arguments behind the first argument of the url.
