Is there any way to make the forum and Blogs in D6.2 to be viewed for registered user only? I am working on a site for my school and I want only the registered Staff and Student to have access to the Blog and Forum of the school.

Pretty sure you can control the settings in the admin/user/permissions page.

I looked for it but I did not not see any, so the default setting is for everyone rather that a selection type.

To get separate "view" permissions you need to use one of the node access modules for d6. Node_privacy_byrole, nodeaccess, content_access, & taxonomy_access all have either releases or dev snapshots for d6 that i know of-- there may be others.
