The update module continutally tells me I need to update the module, but no matter when I do the download it doesn't go away. This is burdensome as the message that pops up in the administrator screen always tells you there is something that needs to be updated, but now I have to go in and check to see if there is something or if it's just the color module, and even then I never really know if I have the latest version of the color module, because it never gives me the correct message.

Thanks for your hard work, but please fix this.

Thanks,
TC

Hi toddchris,

I am sorry for your trouble,

This is not a bug, but a part of how all development releases work (meaning all dev snapshots work like this). Please refer to http://drupal.org/handbook/version-info#dev.

I would like to remind you: You are not running an official release, but a snapshot for developer's with code changing all the time. If you are running a production site I would highly recommend you move back to the official color.module and themes until we have an official release (we haven't even announced an alpha or beta). This is why there is a red, warning-like BG on the download saying, "Development snapshots are automatically regenerated and their contents can frequently change, so they are not recommended for production use."
