Description

i'm trying to at least send an email to the customer that purchases the link access to send them to the area that they now have access. It would be cool to have that node link post to their my account page for the temporary amount of time that they have bought it.

any help in this issue would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Hey Kerry, it's not a bad idea, but given the default integration w/ ACL + Content Access I'm not quite sure how to make it happen. The main reason is that I don't think there's any way in my implementation of the access control list to distinguish how the user was granted that access. I wouldn't want to display a bunch of links arbitrarily.

However, on checkout I'm sure there's some way you could check the products on the order to send notification links... if you have any code knowledge and can spec. out a place where this might fit into the module itself, I'll be happy to take a look.

Is there anyway to create a token associated with the node that was granted access to. Therefore if we had a token then i could add the link to a notification. Also, was wondering if also a temporary notification can show up in the user profile (like role permission does) that states that they have access to that link.

Any more help on this idea would be greatly appreciated. \

I'm getting more serious about resolving this issue. I want to create a list of nodes that each user has access to. It would be great if that list was in the users my account section of the site. At this point I'd be willing to pay consulting fees for anyone who could help me create this function.

let me know,

rszrama,

Is there anyway to reworking the uc_filedownload feature to create this type of function. It's very similar to what I would need. Instead of file download it could request the administrater to type in the link to the node and then it would post that link to the user account for a set duration.

Do you think this would be a viable option?
