Is Aberdeen still being maintained? Offering to maintain it

I am not a themer..

The problem is that I actually like this theme, and I have seen it used often, so I would like to mark it as abandoned somehow so that so that someone can take care of it...

I have followed the steps to mark this as abandoned, so this theme should now be officially marked as abandoned, but it seems that the Drupal Webmasters would prefer a new maintainer.

As I said above, that would not be me, but if you're willing to do it please apply to the Drupal.org webmasters asking for ownership of the Aberdeen theme.

I have started work on porting the theme to D6 and I have created an issue to apply for ownership of the theme.

The comment made from AjK was only to understand if the report was opened to mark the project as abandoned, or to become the new maintainer of the project. His question didn't mean to say that we prefer one solution rather than the other.

This report should have a different title, and be titled Is Aberdeen still being maintained?.

I am changing the title; I will also send an email to the current maintainer asking him to reply here.

Unfortunately I've been very busy with work and family commitments and couldn't keep the theme properly maintained in the last couple of years.

I would be very pleased if someone is keen to take over it and therefore allow that person.

I passed the ownership of the theme to ishmaelsanchez; johnnybegood has still access to the project, as we usually do on Drupal.org.
