It seems whenever I try using thickbox or lightbox 2 for the display of a fielfield image field, nothing appears when I try viewing it. Absolutely no code for the image field prints.

My guess is that most of those modules key off Imagefield->Image rather then Filefield->Image. Try creating the image field using Imagefield instead.

maybe you should post to the lightbox or thickbox queues... I don't know how they integrate with filefield.
