Hey stella thanks for taking time to actively answer issues with lightbox. I saw another post about printing the contact form in the lightbox. What I would like to do is print the node submit forms in the lightbox. If this is not possible right now in any way it would be amazing in the future if it were possible. Allowing users to 'instantly' submit content from wherever on the site would just be a huge advantage. I know it's possible for me to just make something custom but being as this is Drupal I would like to see something that everybody could use.

This is not something I'm planning on implementing in the lightbox2 module any time soon. I'm not ruling it out, I just don't see myself getting to it in the near future. You might have better luck with the PopUps module. It does something similar for the admin config forms. I'm sure it wouldn't be that difficult to extend it to handle the Edit, etc tabs on nodes.
