Can I run newsletter cron jobs

Is there a way to make a newsletter to be sent unattended at a specific time and date using Newsletter module or other ?

Oops ! Has anyone ever got the simplenews_scheduler module to work ? I am working in Drupal 5.9 . The options do not show anywhere.
