Newbie question

Is there a tutorial for Calendar-6.x-2.0-rc1.tar ? (other than http://drupal.org/project/calendar)

Its installed,..OK.... with views/date...now...?

1. The calendar is showing all content created...pages, stories.....how do I filter all that out?..have tried different configurations of the filters.

2. How do I enable users to add content?..and limit their input?

I fumbled thru this 2-3 mos ago, with some help from the tutorial, and other help from the good guys in the IRC chat. It's not fresh on my mind, but I had to set filters to 'Node Type = Event' and some other stuff to get pages, and other content to go away.
