I am experiencing a consistent problem using the new google crome browser when trying to manually update user profiles. The e-mall address of the user is being replaced with the system administrator's email address, along with the password.

is this a known problem or do I have other issues?

...so one might assume that there are no knowns with Google Chrome yet. My guess is that it's "helping" you by filling out fields for you. Perhaps this behavior can be shut off. Reminds me of when kids try to "help".

Personally I'm suspicious of anything Google for privacy reasons etc., but even Firefox phones home regularly.

I have not encountered this issue using IE6, IE7, or FF2. And I don't remember any posts like this for FF3 or Safari. I would suspect this is an issue with Chrome. There have already been other posts regarding issues people are seeing with Chrome.
