drush outputs html to console

Issue Summary

I have installed Drush and I'm using putty to remotely connect to my webserver. Whenever I run drush all that is output is html for the maintainence page. I have installed the latest developement version of drush.

The output:

You have to sort through the cruft to find the nugget. Your page says "Unable
to use the MySQLi database because the MySQLi extension for PHP is not
installed.".

Your PHP that is running on the command line does not have mysqli. this can be a different php than used by the web server.

Thanks for the response, seems my webhost's default php version is shell was 4.4.8 but they also had php v5 installed too, I just had to find it. Now drush works perfectly. Thanks.
