Just checking to see if there's something I need to switch on to submit a file product.i.e. when you go to CREATE CONTENT ->PRODUCT after installing the requiredmodules...there's no option for a FILE PRODUCT.

Any tips appreciated.

I'm stuck on this..anyone know how you add a file product to the product catalogue?

When I go to Create content after enabling all the necessary modules for file products...there's no option for FILE products.

changing this to be a bug report.

Edited: I've tried adding a new product type but that doesn't work either.

See this.. #339058: Are file downloads supported in 6.x-4.0-beta4?
It's for 6.x-4.0, but I guess it's the same for 5.x-4.x..

In version 5.x-4.x there is the file module which can be used to sell digital content.

Update: although e-Commerce 4 started out being developed for Drupal 5, it was soon moved to Drupal 6, so the 5.x-4.x branch of e-Commerce is unsupported and unused. Luckily the file download module for e-Commerce 4 is now available at http://drupal.org/project/ec_file
