TAC Lite (and TAC) Compatibility with ACL Module [Drupal 6.x]

Project:Taxonomy Access Control Lite
Version:6.x-1.2
Component:Miscellaneous
Category:support request
Priority:normal
Assigned:Unassigned
Status:closed (won't fix)

Issue Summary

Hello,

I was wondering if this module is compatible with the ACL Module (and its dependencies forum access, gallery access, etc.) . I first went and researched this on this ACL issue queue, in this post. Here is my exchange with ACL module developer salvis.

ROR to salvis
"Hey,

I read this message [on your module front page]:

"A Drupal Core 6 bug (#151910: Support subqueries, db_rewrite_sql broken) makes the Event 6.x-2.x module incompatible with any node access module (#222128: Event module's use of HAVING is incompatible with db_rewrite_sql())."

and I was wondering if this is compatible with Taxonomy Access Control and TAC Lite?"

salvis to ROR
"Probably. This is an Event or Core issue, depending on how you look at it.

If TAC and TAC Lite use db_rewrite_sql(), then they're affected. You'll have to ask there."

So I was wondering if you could tell from this exchange whether or not TAC Lite and TAC are compatible with this module.

Best Regards,
-ROR

I've never heard of this before. But yes, tac_lite is an access control module and it does use db_rewrite_sql. So, according to what you say, they would be incompatible.

Sounds like its not a bug in tac_lite, though.
