When i try to put Image in node-carousel-index div in mytheme_nodecarousel_node, it gets filtered by something.
I would like to have list of small image for index , (similar to http://msn.foxsports.com/ )rather then title or some text, but html seems to get striped, why?

this is a feature that i think would be great. it might be possible by using a numbered index and then a mix of jquery can css, but i am not sure. i will try and let you know how i get on.

This is best implemented with css background images on the index fields.. will keep it in mind to allow imgs in the index.
