Hi Michelle,
I hate to be a pain in the butt, but I'm having this problem too with the forum overview showing anonymous as the poster, until I enter the specific forum, then it show who posted the comment or post.
Its on the main forum page where it shows anon as the poster or commenter.

I have searched the forums and didn't find an answer.

I'm using advanced_forum-5.x-1.0-alpha10.tar.gz

If you could just point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Don't search the forums... Search the issue queue. Or read the project page. Sorry to be short but this is like #10 and it's getting annoying.
