i really love this module
any chance it will be upgraded to 6.0?
if not any suggestions of what to use?

I wish I had time to help but since moving my site to drupal my traffic has jumped up at least 50%

sorry, had an offline therapy.
It needs a major rewrite to work on 6 or 7. The file & upload apis have changed and the hacks used to make this work initially are too bad.
The approach in docks is a dead end. The idea is useful, but has to have a different implementation with respect to current apis.
Unfortunately I don't have the time to do it at the moment or a project to use it in to actually find the time. If anyone wants to take over I'll help.
