Hello, my name is Scott McKinnis. I listen to the Lullabot podcast and they seem to think a newb like me could help in the docs team. I have a selfish reason for joining though, I want to learn Drupal. I have a D6 and D7 installed on my server to try and figure it out. The D6 I'd like to get up and running in place of some of my WP blogs.

I don't really know where to go from here, but will keep my eyes open for the opportunity to help out.

Welcome to the team! And, yes, being a newbie is a serious advantage.

If you are looking for some tasks to work on/a little direction we have a new handbook page for Documentation team simple tasks. Please feel free to dig in there and definitely feel free to edit that page itself if anything is unclear. We want it to be a good resource for new doc team members to get started.

If you haven't already, you might want to sign up for the mailing list (http://lists.drupal.org/listinfo/documentation) and check out the archives to see the discussions we've been having lately. Some cool stuff going on.
