Filtering block NOT to show on the front, works for the registered users BUT when i logout they show on the front ??

what setting have i missed?

so i assume in your block configuration you have 'Show on every page except the listed pages.' selected, and '' included in your list.

also beware of caching -- if your site is using it and you change these type of settings, i assume the changes won't be visible for anonymous users until you clear cache (which you can do at /admin/settings/performance in D6).
