I need some help with my project - http://drupal.org/project/pixture_reloaded

I have made a hash of the tagging and releases (pretty much right from the start), I was advised to make a new stable release using DRUPAL-6--1-0 and I did but now the system only reccomends the last -beta1 release when I check version 1 in "administer releases".

Not sure where to go from here - frankly I would be more than happy to wipe out most of it and start over if that is possible?

Should I just create a new major release e.g DRUPAL-6--3-0 and be damed with it, then perhaps apply to have the previous release nodes and tags deleted to avoid confusion.

I realise i have made a bit of a cock-up with this project and I don't want to confuse users any more than they might already be.
