Maybe a green one that is a little different from forest green? (the blocks are too yellowish to me, and maybe the headers are a bit hit-in-the face saturated). Please no blue ;)

Personally I have come to like GP + I'm always one for a little nostalgia...

It so very easy to change and since most people won't want GP, I tend to think it actually encourages them to visit the theme settings page.

So, I have to say my vote is for the status quo.

I'd have to agree with eigentor, for a change. The first time I saw the original Pixture theme I avoided it because of the Girly Pink color scheme. I hadn't initially realized you could change the colors on it so easily so I disregarded it. Wasn't til later when I had seen several other mentions of it that I gave it a shot. And yep.. it's super easy to change.. but not everyone is aware of that.

So it might be worth changing the default because of people like me who just take a quick glance, say 'ugghh', and move on :)

At the mo I'm following the developments of color.module 08 and planning for a comprehensive review of all the schemes & how we might be able to leverage the groovy new tools in color 08 to get better schemes, better shifts and incorporate tags + make it easier to radically customise the colour scheme.

The other big job is rebuilding base.png from the ground up, so the html can be simplified and (hopefully) reduce the number of http requests (massive number of images at the moment).

I just don't see changing the default scheme as a high priority right now, and want to spend my time/efforts on bigger fish.

Sorry guys but I'm closing this. I'll never find the time to do this.

If anyone feels strongly about this and can submit a patch to be frank I'll support it. Personally I like the Blue themes best (Drupal centric) but my favourite is one of the purple/violet themes (cant remember the name he he).

Just re-open if you have a patch for review/testing etc. Cheers.
