I could not see any upgrade instructions, so I simply replaced the old piclens 1.5 module directory with the new one (1.6).
Result:
- After configuring the new options, the Piclens play button on thumbnails has now disappeared, both on taxonomy lists and in the image galleries.
- Clicking on the new "Start Slideshow" link gives opens Cooliris with this message:
"The current browser page is not cooliris enabled." I am running Piclens fine on other sites (version 1.5) with the same browser (Firefox 2.x)
- Did not help to enable javascript to trust piclens.com, (that is part of another concern which I post in a separate support requrest)
Are there some other steps I should take? What is the recommended way to "upgrade" this module? Should it be There should be a sentence about that in the readme.txt.

That's a weird issue, not really sure what's happening here, I'll have to some more tests here - altough at first glance everything seems to be working fine. I'll investigate more this week

I have now done these steps:
(Notice that this is all happening in the same browser/session, so there is no issue with Firefox)
On a separate site that has never had Piclens 1.6 on it, I installed Piclens 1.5, without using the script features. Only setting used is to show link to the full image node. This works fine. Same Drupal version on that site as the one experiencing problems (5.7)
On the site experiencing problems, I did this:
- disabled Piclens 1.6
- uninstalled Piclens 1.6 completely (all it its elements (using the uninstall tab of the modules page)
- enabled Piclens 1.6 again, tried the features, also without Javascript. Nothing works. No Play links appears.
- disabled and uninstalled Piclens 1.6 again
- deleted the module directory, uploaded and installed Piclens 1.5, Now everything works fine again.
But what I really want, is Piclens functionality for Taxonomy (introduced in Piclens 1.6), so that it is possible to show slideshows based on taxonomy rather than limited to a gallery. Looking forward to that :-)

Hmm, that's weird, taxonomy is a sub-module of PicLens, I'll have todo more test I guess :)
