Secrets of Plant Genomes Revealed - a video companion site for the NSF

ronan - September 10, 2008 - 15:35

Gorton Studios is pleased to announce the launch of Secrets of Plant Genomes: Revealed. Built as a resource for classroom learning and specifically designed for middle school and high school students, the website is chock full of engaging information, videos, images and interactives. It serves as the online companion for the documentary by the same name and is written in the same fun and approachable manner that makes the documentary so successful.

Gortons Studios designed and developed the site for the National Science Foundation (NSF) in partnership with Iowa State University. The site offers users of all ages a chance to go deeper and learn more about plant genomics, bioinformatics, and plant breeding.

The site is built in Drupal 5 and uses the following contributed modules:
CCK, Views, Imagefield, File Field, Link Field, Imagecache, Node Hierarchy, Glossary, Signwriter, Thickbox, Backup and Migrate, Google Analytics, TinyMCE and IMCE, Meta Tags, Pathauto, Global Redirect, Menu Trim and XML Sitemap.

Many thanks are due as always to all of the developers who put such hard work into Drupal core all the modules we used.

You will need javascript and flash to view the videos on this site.

Questions, comments and critiques are welcome.
