There is a patch that fixes the problem that you can't submit a search by pressing Enter in the search form in Internet Explorer: http://drupal.org/node/214292.
This patch is for D6 but works also with D5.x.
I applied it to the collapse.js which is delivered by jQuery Update 5.x-2.0.

Here is the patched version. Feel free to test it and add it to the next version of by jQuery Update 5.x.
