Instead of just sending a link to the node with the sender's comments, would it be possible to actually include the node in the email encoding any images, etc. So that the email the user receives is an actual copy of the node with maybe the message at the bottom and a link back to the original node.

This could be done as simplenews is doing it but I belevie it will be a lot of work for a questionable benefit. Imo the hope of the ecard provider is to bring people to the website. But if I send HTML the chance is lower they will click onto something and take a look at the site.

How about if the node isn't the actual card itself, but another image (ie. company logo) to be used as a header graphic in the email? The text and link would then come below the image in the email.

Okay than lets change this issue to "Sending Mime Mail".
