I have noticed that many modules I want to install are not yet compatible with Drupal 6.4 and would like to install 5.10 in the time being. I have read the documentation on how to install it but I am not understanding certail steps such as creating a databse etc.

Is there any dummy instructions that can help a newbie like me out. Or is there a way to download 6.4 and then convert/revert it back to 5.10?

Any help would be great..
