I'm having the same issue with RC2 that was described in http://drupal.org/node/289477. The solution of moving the function call did not work for me, however. I tried with both RC2 and -dev, but no luck.
All Views content for anonymous users doesn't render, it just reverts to an ordinary list. The Administrator gets everything.

john.karahalis commentedI also ran into an access problem.
Anonymous users were not able to access my Views (Access was set to unrestricted). Giving anonymous users the permission "access all views" seemed to solve the problem, but I don't think that is what "access all views" is meant for.

David Fisco commentedI tried "access all views", but it didn't bring the Views back for anonymous users. They still get only a plain list while the Adminstrator gets everything. I also don't think that's what "access all views" is for.
john.karahalis commentedIt seems that after updating Views (and plenty of other modules) I had forgotten to run update.php. Running update.php seems to have solved the problem, even when "access all views" is disabled for anonymous users.
David Fisco commentedMy database didn't need an update after installing RC2 of Views. The update.php page said that no updates were needed.
john.karahalis commentedI'm not sure then. It could be that some other module is interacting with Views to cause this.
Do any Views developers have any ideas?
David Fisco commentedI have no other access-control modules installed.

isthisthingon commentedI too have this same problem ... hopefully looking to find a solution!
isthisthingon commentedAnyone have any ideas? My site is dead until this gets fixed....

merlinofchaos commentedI am unable to reproduce this problem. You need to give me a method that will allow me to reproduce this issue.
David Fisco commentedI'm having the problem with Drupal 6.4.
I use Views to display a list of filtered articles (usually filtered by taxonomy), and on the top of each Views page, I have a "Full HTML" header. The Administrator account can see the header and the articles, but the anonymous users cannot see the header, only the articles.
Please let me know if you need any additional information.

merlinofchaos commentedHeader/footer/empty text issues are http://drupal.org/node/308137
If that's all this issue is, then this can be marked duplicate of that, but the reference suggests this is a content error. Of course, all that's in this issue is a link to another issue which has 20 followups, so it's hard to tell what *exactly* is wrong here since the poster didn't actually specify.

isthisthingon commentedI am a Drupal newbie and am not sure what information you are seeking.
I had a fontpage view set up, with a header and it was showing the header and my page nodes sorted alphabetically by node title just fine for all users, including anonymous users.
I upgraded to version 6.x-2.0-rc2 and once I did that, the anonymous and authenticated users got access denied once they navigated to my homepage. I then setup the access to be multiple roles, to include both anonymous and authenticated users and that allowed both authenticated and anonymous users to view that page but it was missing the header.
The only thing that changed was my upgrade to the version noted above.
Any insight would be appreciated and if I am leaving out vital information, I apologize, just ask for what you need to know.

esmerel commentedAppears to be a duplicated issue.
