I have a drupal 6.3 installation and would like to implement a mechanism to sell online documents. I don't really want to implement a complete shopping cart for this...

So I would like my customers to be able to select the documents they want to buy access to using a form and then pay through paypal after which I can give them access to those nodes. I also want to be able to sell hard copies of these online documents - simply take orders using a form, make people pay, receive their orders in email...

I need to get this done latest by early next week. So please contact me ASAP.

I have a client that wants a similar thing... Did Jordan's solution work? If I can't make that work, then I'll have to revert to role-specific stuff, and I'd rather not...

Drupal 6.4 release was available a month before this date and it has fixed critical security vulnerabilities. Upgrading your existing Drupal 6 site is strongly recommended.

I don't think he needed to use the contact tab as it was not an advertisement (most previous spam messages were pure attempts at free advertising.) I'm sure the community in general are interested to know if the solution worked or not.
