Trying to upgrade biblio from 5.x-1.16 to 6.x-1.0-beta8 a got a list of errors. After restoring a DB dump (taken before 6.x-1.0-beta8 was extracted) I did a reload of page "admin/build/modules" to check the actual states (see image below).
And just to be on the save side I did an "update.php", expecting that nothing will happen. But the installation process was started for module biblio.
Is this behavior expected?

Surprisingly the installation process started when not all dependencies were resolved.
You can see a line at the image above indicating "depends on wrapper ... (disabled)"

Hmm, that's a bit of a mystery. I don't know where that "wrapper" dependency is coming from, and certainly there is no way I can influence whether the update happens or not.
