Even though there seams to be little activity in the last months how are chances someone knowledged enough would port this module to D6 for those non-php-specialists among us? I would really aprechiate it!
Cheers and TA in advance.

I am also for this idea. Would really appreciate a D6 version of this module. Is there something comparable already existing?

i have tried doing the 6.x port with Deadwood
and now fixing the issues on the new menu system of 6.x in Temporary Invitation
i need this module for setting up a new 6.x website,
so hopefully i'll continue working on this port...
maybe able to release a test version here in weeks,
after i finished the work on the hook_menu() port

Cool stuff... hopefully it'll be possible to merge at least some of the improvements developed by Garthee (semi-private fork) into the 6.x version as well. Need to figure out how to best manage this stuff.

this would be awesome

6.x port based on deadwood with some manual modification
I don't know how to do the path alias support in 6.x menu system
as the same as that implemented in 5.x of Temporary Invitation
so I removed all the path alias related code in hook_menu() in this 6.x port
hope someone familiar with this can help implement that
one may find my 6.x port for loginticket at http://drupal.org/node/264816
#9
fixing a few bugs for the previous version in #8
also changed the path for invitation login from 'temporary-invitation-login/%' to 'temp-login/%'
as i believe the original one is a bit too long
which makes the login url not so user friendly

Anyone interested into maintaining the d6 version? Thus we could put it into CVS and roll regular releases..
Personally I don't have an interest in the d6 version.
