Difference between this and 'Content Translation'?

The node translation uses the translation framework to create the translations via apis such as google or other translations, they are machine translated in the first place then you can alter them before changing the translations.

The module provides listings of the translations you have in thickbox instead of the links and lets you know the types you can translate into including translations that are not in the locale provided you have the translation framework installed.
