Right now, if you enable event manager, all event nodes (the stock event node or a cck node type with the 'show in calendar' option enabled) automatically has event registration open.

For me, this is a show-stopper for using this module as not all events on my site will need registration.

I like the Signup module's ability to turn off signing up per node. There were some features of this module I really wanted to use but this causes me grief.

Is there any way to turn off Event Manager registration per node? AND per event type?

Actually....I see now that if you leave the # of registrants to zero, it disables registration...
