After following the instructions of INSTALL.txt, i still cannot authenticate. Drupal still gives me:

phpBB user: Anonymous. You are not authenticated in phpBB now. Please login to phpBB and test again.

I have tried changing cookie settings, server settings, refreshing the cache in my browser, creating another user to try again.

My phpBB3 forum is inside my drupal folder, and I followed the instructions given.

Can someone please help me?

the problem is solved by logging in with phpbb3 admin login details. for ex you have admin/siteadmiin as admin login credentials while installing phpbb3 forum.

login drupal with the same admin details (username/password) admin/siteadmin.

please write back your problem status after doing the above process.

Just toss out my experince on this.. I setup my test sites (test.~.com & test.~.com/phpbb) and used the admin names & pass that matched both. Then I had the same problem however, comically enough, I used another tab on my browser, logged into the phpbb forum while logged into the drupal site and then re-applied the page for the module in drupal. Automatically picked it up and presto - works like a charm.
