Taxonomy terms listed backwards on view page, not responding to 'sort' within view

Issue Summary

Hiya - I am using this great module to create a contextual taxonomy menu for a section of the site i'm working on. However, I've noticed that it's listing the parent term AFTER the child terms on list pages, and it's also listing the term description above the term name! I've tried to sort the view as descending/ascending but it seems to make no difference. I'm pretty sure this is a bug but perhaps I am missing something? Screenshots are attached.
