I am relatively experienced with Dupal but I have come across an issue which seems beyond me at the moment. Normally I can restrict access from the Front Page for authenticated users but with a recent site I have set up, any authenticated user seems to be able to post to the front page.
I am using the Roople Tapestry Theme and I have installed the Views module and I am using Views - along with many other modules. For the Views module I have permitted authenticated user access to all views and for the Node module I have permitted user access to content (as would be expected). I can't see what else could be causing the problem.
My thought is that the Views Module settings must be the problem but I am not sure what I need to do about it. Can anyone help please?
Many thanks
Terry

Form Filter
I have now found one way of doing what I need to do. The Form Filter under Site Configuration enables any form to be filtered and elements excluded or included. I can thus get rid of the unwanted Promote to Front Page.
I have no idea why I didn't previously need this. Must have been a global setting.
Any comments would be welcome.
